Eyelash extensions do not require special attention, but following these rules you can prolong the life of the extended eyelashes and they will stay fresh and beautiful as long as possible.

  • Daily gently wash your face and eyes with water and a makeup removal which does not contain oils. If possible, exclude oily creams around the eyes, as the oil gradually destroys the properties of the glue for eyelash extensions. It is also recommended to use a special foam cleanser for eyelash extensions.
  • Brush your eyelashes only when it's needed and in one direction. This will give the lashes a neat look and also prevent tangling when the lashes start to grow back.
  • Do not sleep with your face down the pillow.  Even though eyelash extensions are unlikely to change their shape as they are made of elastic synthetic fiber and retain their shape even at high temperatures, but during sleep the eyelashes can rub against the pillow, which is not recommended.
  • Also, do not rub your eyes with your hands and expose your eyelashes to any mechanical effects. Do not use an eyelash curler. If you like curled eyelashes, it is better to get a D-curl look with your extensions.
  • Do not attempt to remove the lashes yourself. Neither water nor oil dissolves the glue (oil may affect the properties of the glue over time, but will not dissolve it instantly). Removal of lashes must be done with a special product and by an eyelash technician.

Generally, there are no restrictions with having eyelash extensions, you can swim, sunbathe, lead an active lifestyle, use makeup and contact lenses. If you follow all the recommendations above, your eyelashes will delight you with their beautiful appearance for 2-4 weeks, depending on the individual features of the growth speed of your natural eyelashes and the quality of the procedure (the skills of the master and the quality of materials). On average, after 3 weeks you will need to either schedule a refill or removal of the extensions. If you hesitate whether to get the extensions or you are not sure what look to get, we advise you to look at the photos of eyelash extensions done by our professional technicians at Vogue Lashes & Spa.
